Thames Valley Police’s training centre in Sulhamstead, near Reading, RG7 4DX.
This summer Thames Valley Police (TVP) will open its doors to the public for the force Open Day.
The Open Day provides a fantastic opportunity for you to get a behind the scenes look at what it takes to police one of the biggest non-metropolitan policing areas in the country.
Our Roads Policing Unit, Forensic Investigations Unit, Contact Management team and Major Crime Unit are just a handful of over 40 exhibitors who will be there to showcase their work.
There will also be displays from the Public Order team, including the Mounted Section and Dog Section as well as talks from key members of the force.
There are a range of interactive activities for you to get involved in, including solving a crime scene with Major Crime, bouncy castle, sumo suits and PC Ben stories with PCSO Dave Bullock.
The fancy dress competition also returns and children can come dressed in their best police themed costume to be in for a chance of winning a fantastic prize.
The force museum and shop will be open, as well as a raffle with more great prizes.
All proceeds from the event from the public’s donations will be given to the Curtis Palmer Program charity which helps serving and retired officers and staff with physical injury, illness and mental wellbeing.
This is a free event with onsite parking. No ticket needed just turn up!
